On 27th May 2016, our Bollywood dancers put together a unique show which was part of a bigger picture not just a Bollywood themed event. Many people don’t know this about Ignite Bollywood, but we have close partnerships with other performers including Brazilian Samba dancers, African dancers and drummers, Latin American dancers and flamenco musicians.
So when Abigail from Prolife foods contacted me asking for help in organising her staff party titled “around the world” I was excited to offer her an array of performances from around the world. She chose to go with our Brazilian / Latin American dancers and Bollywood dancers and it was a night full of different flavours!
My dancers and I arrived at show time event at the docklands to find food from different countries being served along with a live band playing some rock songs! We were surprised to see how much effort all the staff members had put into costuming up as characters from different parts of the world and also people from history. There are times when we’ve had to work hard to get the crowd up and dancing but this wasn’t one of those times. This group was totally up for a party and we barely had to do anything to get the party started!
